Premises and venues across England must have a system in place to record contact details

Businesses and other public settings where people meet socialising including hospitality, close contact and leisure venues must record contact details of customers, visitors and staff on their premises.

This will be enforceable by law and businesses face fines if they do not comply.

Businesses such as pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and cinemas must have a system in place to record the contact details and should be prepared to hand this information.

Contact details will only be shared with NHS Test and Trace if requested who then will work closely with the affected venue to take appropriate action.

Further details will be set out within the coming day. More information can be found here.
