Thursfields Solicitors has revealed its commitment to supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity for the next 12 months.
Having raised £3,917.00 for Alzheimer’s Research UK in the previous fundraising drive, the firm is eager to support another significant charity that aids the local community in the upcoming year through fundraising, awareness campaigns, and volunteer initiatives.
Courtney Litwinko-Smith, Family Solicitor and Head of the Junior Law Committee at Thursfields, expressed enthusiasm for the new partnership, commenting “This year colleagues nominated charities who have supported them and their families. Birmingham Children’s Hospital holds a special significance for many individuals at Thursfields and we are very excited to be supporting them over the next 12 months.
One colleague shared their reason for nominating the charity, mentioning that their granddaughter has undergone two open-heart surgeries at the hospital – one at 3 months old and another at 18 months old. She is currently under the care of the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Coronary Department and will need more surgeries in the future. The consultant, his team, and the staff have been exceptional. Thursfields is eager to support the remarkable work of this charity in our fundraising efforts for the new financial year.”
Katie Harris, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, commented “We’re absolutely thrilled the team at Thursfields Solicitors has chosen to support our charity this year and we can’t wait to see what this new, exciting partnership will bring.
Every family that walks through the doors of our hospital benefits from our charity, so by supporting us, Thursfields Solicitors will be helping us do more for the 100,000 sick kids our hospital treats each year.”
