The Midlands Engine has organised a virtual roundtable with the Department for International Trade (DIT) for SMEs from across the region with an interest in international trade, in particular in trade with the United States of America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
The meeting will take place on 5 June 2020 and will play host to Secretary of State for International Trade, Rt Hon. Liz Truss MP.
With international trade a firm priority of the UK Government, it is important to provide DIT with regional insight and facilitate the means for businesses to engage directly with the Government on the benefits they see from FTAs and the barriers to trade that they face.
Also being discussed is the US Free Trade Agreement and the benefits that this could bring organisations especially SMEs across the Midlands already trading with the US and opening many opportunities for others.
The Midlands Engine want to receive insight from Midlands businesses operating in or interested in these key areas in the virtual meeting held on 5 June, there will also be an opportunity to put questions to the Secretary of State for International Trade, Rt Hon Liz Truss MP.
Places are limited so please sign up via the expression of interest form found here.
