“It is 20 years since I completed my last qualification at HWGTA and as I reflect on where I am today I can see the courses I completed were vital rungs on the ladder to success.
After completing NVQs in Customer Care, Accountancy and Business Administration I was able to embed the skills and learning that helped me gain entry onto a Masters in Human Resource Management at Bristol Business School. From there I was able to emigrate to Australia and over the past 10 years, I have run my own HR consulting practice in Perth, Western Australia.
My business is thriving and achieving growth year on year. As I am now taking on UK-based clients I proudly can say I have created an international business. The initial grounding from the NVQs helped me understand what is needed to run a compliant and professional organisation which has resulted in long-term clients who rave about my services.
