Hi, I’m Joe McAlster and I am the new Business and Employer Engagement Manager at Kidderminster College. I’m really excited to be working here and have the opportunity to work with employers and other organisations within the Wyre Forest district and wider Worcestershire area. I have worked within the FE sector for over 10 years specialising primarily in Construction and Construction Commerical but have also spent some time managing 16-19 and Higher Education Engineering.
My passion for getting people into work in industry has stemmed from my own employment journey, starting off initially in stone masonry before moving into general construction. Working in these industries has given me the opportunity to work on a range of different projects from heritage sites to modern housing developments. Using the knowledge, skills and experience from my own employment, I look forward to developing a range of opportunities with local employers across all sector industries to support the residents of Kidderminster, the Wyre Forest district and Worcestershire into employment and successful careers.
