With the restrictions in place for traditional funerals due to COVID-19, Manor Hill House based in Upton Warren in Worcestershire, launch their new ‘Life Celebration Services’ for a more intimate and heartfelt service to mark the passing of loved ones.
It has been well documented that the funeral industry has had to undergo radical changes due to COVID-19, with restrictions on group gatherings, but loosing someone you love is one of the most difficult times which still needs space to mourn, remember and celebrate life. Manor Hill House, located in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside have launched their new services to support the local community, offering a modern way to remember and celebrate the life of the special person they have lost.

“When we lose someone that we love the pain can be all consuming. We want to help the local community by offering our private venue for an intimate celebration of life. Our new ‘Life Celebration Services’ have been launched to support grieving families, adhering to restrictions in place of attendees”. She adds, “Our experience and feedback from families suggested that they are steering away from more formal settings with strict timeframes, so they can take their time to remember and celebrate life in a more personal way. We are honoured to be able to support families at a very dark point in their life, offering comfort when we can. Life Celebration Services can also be postponed to a time when restrictions are lifted, giving full flexibility to our families.”

“The Coronavirus pandemic has had a big effect on the way that we do funerals at the moment; the number of people in attendance is limited, some crematoria closed to the public, while Zoom/virtual services are on the uptake. Where this is the case, many families are opting for an intimate simple farewell with a more celebratory celebration of life/memorial service at a later date when it is safe for larger gatherings.” She adds “Increasingly, as a celebrant, I also find that families are steering away from the traditional and regimented confines, formal setting and strict timeframes of crematoria and they hold a funeral in a more personal setting – such as Manor Hill House where there are no restrictions.
