On Wednesday 15th September, the Lord Lieutenant for Worcestershire visited OLPRO to present the company with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
Daniel Walton, Managing Director of camping specialist, OLPRO, greeted the Lord Lieutenant at the company’s headquarter before providing him with a guided tour of the office space and warehouse. The Lord Lieutenant was later introduced to the rest of the OLPRO team and guests from Malvern Hills District Council, Department for International Trade and Hereford & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
In the last 12 months OLPRO has seen a huge increase in demand for its camping products internationally and have sold products to a total number of 29 different countries, with a large amount of products going to the USA, Spain, Germany and France. OLPRO has used the last 12 months to build its international offering further by redeveloping the company’s website and making it available in nearly 100 different languages.
Daniel Walton, Founder of OLPRO, said: “We’re delighted to have had the opportunity to receive this prestigious award from the Lord Lieutenant and to share this great occasion with our incredible team and guests. Our increase in international sales has been crucial to many of our recent successes and it has also enabled the business to double the number of staff it employs.”
“We’re already celebrating our 10th year in business during 2021, but this award really highlights how far we have come as an international brand and how successfully we are growing on a global scale.”
