Local Businesses United on Uniform

As the much-anticipated September reveal for the new name and branding for Dines Green Community Academy draws closer, the Worcestershire business community have come together to show their support.

The project, overseen by Julia Williams, Member of the Mercian Educational Trust and Director of Worcester based creative agency, ADD Marketing, is enjoying new momentum as it’s backed by local businesses who have offered to help fund the new uniform provision.

Former Governor of Dines Green Community Academy, Tracy Lowe, of Lowe’s Family Solicitors, has kindly sponsored the new school polo shirts which will be given to all pupils in September. Lowe’s Family Solicitors are based on Foregate Street in Worcester city centre and have been specialising in all aspects of family law for over ten years.

Other Worcester businesses collaborating to support the school are recruitment specialists, Baxter Williams, ISO Quality Services, whose expertise help businesses navigate ISO compliance, and Hewett Recruitment, who have been providing bespoke recruitment solutions for the shires for over forty years.

Completing the sponsorship team are Martin Hanney, Director of UK Operations at Malvern based Aspenify, a company dedicated to innovating the process of connecting people virtually, Edward Dally, Senior Associate at Worcester’s Financial Advice Centre and Kelly Fieldhouse from Worcestershire Mortgage Services.

Councillor, Richard Udall, has also made a donation to the new uniform provision. The St. John’s Ward Councillor and Chair of the Licensing and Health Committee, is aware that with the rising cost of living impacting greatly on family life as much support as possible is needed.

Mr Andrew Morley, Headteacher of Dines Green Community Academy comments;
“The new identity and name for Dines Green Community Academy, heralds the start of a new chapter for our school. It will reinforce our academy status further and importantly demonstrate an investment to mark a positive future ahead for the school and wider community.
We are immensely grateful for the kind support of the Worcester business community who have come together to offer united support on the uniform provision.”

Tracy Lowe, from Lowe Family Solicitors, comments;
“Lowe Family Solicitors are delighted to have the opportunity to support such a worthwhile project and help where we can to alleviate any financial stress to local families by gifting the new polo shirts to the pupils. With the current rising cost of living, it is important now more than ever that we recognise consequences of this on our communities and step in to help if we can.”

The reveal of the new school name and branding will take place at an event on Tuesday 6th September. The Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Adrian Gregson, will officially announce the new name for the Dines Green Community Academy and celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for the Worcestershire primary school.

This re-brand will also bring with it a number of other initiatives to celebrate including new school values to reinforce the ethos. These will extend to the school interior and grounds with some exciting projects planned over the coming months to consolidate the re-branding across the whole school community, learning resources and infrastructure.

Dines Green Community Academy has been part of the Mercian Educational Trust for four years and during this time has seen many benefits from working with the trust. This next step will go further to refresh the school values, strong local heritage and community spirit and will be a very positive investment in the future of the school.
