Living the Adventure: How Rosemary’s Mongolia Expedition Powers Authentic Team-Building

In June 2025, our director Rosemary Sales will embark on a extreme Expedition—canoeing the remote Delgermörön River in northern Mongolia, navigating fierce currents, portaging laden canoes and living almost entirely off the land. Sleeping beneath minimalist shelters under an open sky, she’ll document every rapid, campsite and foraging spot, pushing her endurance, communication and problem-solving skills in one of the world’s most unforgiving wildernesses. At wye knot community we really live what we deliver , adventure!

This “extreme challenge” isn’t a marketing stunt—it’s Rosemary’s proving ground. Every technique she trials in Mongolia—advanced river reading, emergency shelter-building, fire-lighting and communal cooking—directly shapes our corporate team-building workshops. When your group arrives on the Wye, you’re following a curriculum honed on real rivers, refined under real pressure, and delivered by instructors who have lived—and learned—from it.

At Wye Knot Community, we don’t just teach adventure; we live it. By immersing ourselves in this true wilderness trial, we ensure that every river-based challenge, bushcraft exercise and open-fire cooking lesson is road-tested, authentic and impactful. That’s why organisations seeking genuine, immersive team-building choose us: because our programmes aren’t hypothetical exercises, but lived experiences driven by a director who leads from the riverbank
