KEMP Hospice is calling on the local community to lace up their running shoes, pull on a Santa suit, and join its 18th Santa Fun Run on Sunday 7th December 2025.
The charity’s biggest fundraising event of the year and a vital lifeline for people across the Wyre Forest living with life-limiting conditions, this year’s event will start and finish at Wolverley Memorial Hall, where runners are invited to take part in one of three options:
• Kids’ 1km Santa Dash – perfect for little legs
• 5km Fun Run/Walk – festive and family-friendly
• 10km Timed Run – including a route that passes right by KEMP Hospice itself
With the countdown now on, time is running out to sign up, and the hospice is urging as many people as possible to get involved. Every Santa who takes part helps raise the essential funds that keep KEMP’s specialist nursing, bereavement services, and family support running.
Ian Carr, Head of Fundraising and Communications, said, “The Santa Fun Run isn’t just a festive family favourite—it’s at the heart of KEMP Hospice’s fundraising calendar. Without the money raised at this annual event, the hospice simply would not be able to continue offering its free care and support to local people facing some of the hardest moments of their lives. Our Santa Fun Run is a fun, feel-good day out for everyone taking part and the whole Wyre Forest community. We have moved location which allows us to provide more fun for all the family than ever before, and we urgently need more runners this year to ensure we can continue providing our vital services to families across the Wyre Forest. If you’ve ever thought about signing up, now is the time. Every runner makes a real, tangible difference.”
With the event fast approaching, organisers are urging residents to register as soon as possible to ensure they secure their place and receive their Santa suit in time.
Don’t miss the chance to take part in one of the most joyful and important community events of the year.
