Selcraft created the “Ladies Bar Brooch” to provide a specific focus and purpose for ladies emblematic jewellery.
Cufflinks and tie-clips are, of course, unisex although through the years it became apparent that specific items for ladies was absent from their repertoire.
So, the Selcraft team were keen to design and produce an item that was designed specifically for female military and corporate clients worldwide. And with great success.
The designs shown are for the Royal Artillery Women’s Rugby Football Club and Merchant Navy. The Royal Artillery was founded in 1716 and the Merchant Navy 1835 and this is represented within the design.
As with all of the items that Selcraft design and produce, much attention to detail is given, particularly with regard to the aesthetics of how the item appears when worn. The ladies bar brooch is worn with high visibility compared to cufflinks, for instance, and is affixed securely to the wearer with a jewellery style safety brooch on the reverse.
Both of the crests shown are widely produced elsewhere, as basic metal enamel badges, but with proven protocol Selcraft designed their own versions to meet the demanding standards expected by their clients.
Both items blend a combination of flat enamel detailing further complimented by sculptured metal relief of various elements within the design: the Royal Artillery-Cannon and MN-Crown/Rope.
To enable their clients to maximise the use of the moulds (dies/tools) of their crest/logo that Selcraft often produce, at the same time, both cufflinks and tie-clips with the same emblem.
As with all of their products, Selcraft can offer a wide range of metal effects and finishes that further compliment and personalise the item to satisfy our clients’s requirements.
