Pupils at Holy Trinity School and Sixth Form Centre in Kidderminster in celebration of World Book Day dressed up as their favourite book character and fundraised in aid of Book Aid International and BookTrust.
Associate Head, Katherine Slack, said: “For a number of years, our school has been supported by BookTrust through free books for Reception pupils and free school book packs for our Senior students, so Year 4 pupils decided this year to invite pupils to donate £1 in exchange for coming into school in their costume with all funds raised shared equally between the two charities.”
The week began with daily D.E.A.R. reading sessions (Drop Everything and Read) to act as a countdown to the big day, with every student throughout the school stopping and having the opportunity to read or listen to a story read to them by their teachers.
