Through an extensive research and development process, Richard Foster owner and director of Xymertec Ltd has introduced Advanced Cold Cure Technology (ACT) to an already established range of rapid curing resins and coatings. Advanced Cold Cure Technology is as a new innovation which allows coatings to cure at temperatures as low as 0°C. The technology has been designed to extend the number of months during which resins can be used effectively outdoors. Whilst, also easing the application process within indoor locations such as unheated areas, loading bays, warehouses and cold storage facilities i.e. walk in fridges.
Traditional resin solutions only have curing capabilities in temperatures above 10 °C, with room temperature being the most favourable. As the winter months draw closer, many resin flooring contractors and specialists may think twice about taking on the next project. As the side effects of working with resin that is too cold can ruin a project all together. The resin will become cloudy, will have a taffy like consistency making it incredibly difficult to pour and will take far longer to cure. Thus, causing loss of time, money and will ultimately have a negative impact on both the contractors and the clients.
However, with the use of Advanced Cold Cure Technology all the above negative factors will cease to exist. Allowing projects to continue, and downtime to be dramatically reduced; saving both parties time and money.
