The Department for Education (DfE) has published reforms to higher technical education in the UK following a consultation held in 2019. The changes include:
• | New Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) approved qualifications, focusing on digital in 2022, and health and science and construction in 2023. |
• | Ofsted and the Office for Students (OfS) ensured high-quality provision, funded through the next Spending Review |
• | Increased profile, branding and careers information advice and guidance. |
