Further to the news that New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) has converted its administration offices at Gardner Hall, Hereford into a makeshift factory producing vitally needed PPE items for both NHS acute hospitals and local care homes, read more here,
The Herefordshire Community Foundation has awarded NMITE £5,000 from the National Emergencies Trust (NET) Coronavirus Appeal Fund to help cover costs for NMITE’s production of headshields.
Professor Elena Rodriguez-Falcon, President and CEO of NMITE said: “It is an honour to be able to do our bit to help health care workers at this difficult time. The fact that the NET and Herefordshire Community Foundation chose NMITE’s PPE production facility to allocate funds recognises the value NMITE’s team of engineers is delivering to local frontline workers. It makes me very proud.”
