Herefordshire businesses can now apply for green energy grant scheme

SME’s in Herefordshire could benefit from a grant scheme supporting businesses to switch to renewable energy sources. The Marches Renewable Energy Grant Scheme, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is looking for expressions of interest from companies in the Marches area. The scheme, which will run until 31 December 2021, supports Herefordshire Council’s commitment to combat climate change and work towards a zero-carbon economy.

Grants will be awarded for new installations only and will cover 50 percent of the business costs. The scheme covers a range of renewable technologies including solar energy, wind power, air-sourced heat pumps, ground-sourced energy supplies and biomass.

If your business would like to be considered for grant support through the scheme, please complete this expression of interest form and return by email to delegatedgrants@herefordshire.gov.uk.

More information about the scheme can be found on the Herefordshire Council website.
