The Herefordshire Board Gamers are back for their 9th Annual Event – but with a brand new name. People from across the two counties are invited to “Here for Games Con”, a free inclusive charity games convention raising money for Herefordshire Mind.
The event is taking place between 12-14 May 2023 and online in early May for over 30 hours of free gaming!
New and experienced gamers alike will have plenty to do with a large games’ library, friendly games teachers, giant games, family zone, bring and buy, play to win, Role Play Games, painting zone, Blood on the Clock Tower, raffles, special guests and more!
Their giant games are a huge hit for gamers big and small… be the monster in Terror in Meeple city, the penguin in Hey that’s my Fish or the dragon in Tsuro. Their giant games put you in the centre of the action and are made more exciting for it!
Alongside the activities as part of Here for Games Con, the charity have also launched a new online convention – Here for Games CONline. Hobbies and communities are vital for mental health, meeting people, having fun, learning new skills and developing confidence. They fell in love with how accessible online is during the pandemic, meeting and connecting with people around the world. They believe that the opportunity to meet people and connect across the globe should be more available as not everyone can travel to conventions. Thanks to the wonders of the world wide web, attendees can get involved from the comfort of their own homes.
The charity are also calling out for support to make these events a huge success. They are particularly looking for volunteers to help out, RPG GMs and donations of raffle prizes. Please use the links below to get in touch if you can offer support!

Herefordshire Board Gamers is a volunteer community that runs a wide range of gaming/social events online and in person with a focus on inclusion and accessibility. They also provide a free lending library of over 500 games and jigsaws locally and a knowledge base full of advice on how to run and organise gaming and community events. They raised around £6,000 for charity last year!
