Help your business at the next FREE Sustainability Forum

With tightening legislation, increasing scrutiny and consumer awareness of the negative impacts of waste materials, our next Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) Sustainability Forum is focused on waste.

The Sustainability Forum is a series of free events aimed at helping businesses draw upon good practice from industry experts and local businesses to help promote sustainable business practices, particularly focusing on resource efficiency. BEEP provides free advice and grants up to £20,000 for eligible businesses based in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Telford to implement resource efficiency projects.

The last round of BEEP supported over 300 companies and delivered £1.9m worth of savings and carbon dioxide savings equivalent to driving a car 18.5 million miles. One company that benefited was Worcester based cyber security specialist, Titania who cut energy costs by 22%. A £15,000 BEEP grant supported replacing windows, upgrading lighting, modernising boiler and improving heating controls.

The event will take place on Friday 24 January 2020 from 8.00-10.00am at EnviroSort, Worcester. It will cover an update on forthcoming waste legislation and how this will affect your business, what happens to recyclables once they are collected from across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, what can be recycled and how this is sorted, and finally local re-use opportunities.

The hosts of the day, Severn Waste Services, provide integrated waste management across Herefordshire and Worcestershire including operating the Envirosort Materials Reclamation Facility where recyclable materials are recovered, separated and despatched to reprocessors for ultimate remanufacture into new goods.

Please note this event is limited to 2 places per company.
