Worcester based insurance brokers Hazelton Mountford are pleased to share the results of their June Charity Challenge, which saw staff walk an impressive 10.5 million steps and raise over £ 5,000 for charity.
Throughout June, colleagues “stepped into action” to support four causes close to the business’s heart, as part of Hazelton Mountford’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and charitable giving. The challenge united colleagues from all departments and offices, encouraging teamwork, workplace wellbeing, and a touch of friendly competition.
The funds raised will be donated to the British Heart Foundation, Headway Worcestershire, Acorn’s Children’s Hospice, and RefuAid, to support vital services and initiatives in the local community and beyond.
“We’re extremely proud of what our team has achieved,” said Jake Mountford, Director at Hazelton Mountford. “The enthusiasm and determination from everyone involved has been fantastic. Not only have we raised a significant amount for charity, but we’ve also promoted workplace wellbeing and the importance of healthy habits across the company.”
This initiative reinforces Hazelton Mountford’s ethos of giving back and promoting wellbeing, both within and outside the workplace. The firm continues to support projects that improve employee happiness and development and takes pride in its comprehensive employee benefits package.
“We believe our staff are at the heart of our success,” said Group Managing Director Gordon Hazelton. “We employ great people, and pride ourselves on being one of the best places to work in Worcester. We are always looking for ways to give back and invest in our staff.”
The team would like to thank everyone who donated, and its employees for tackling the challenge with such determination, surpassing the initial steps goal by 1.5 million steps.
