Have your say on how Worcester tackles climate emergency

The first phase of the consultation into Worcester’s draft Environmental Sustainability Strategy has now begun. The consultation includes an online survey and a webinar for businesses and organisations to hear more about the strategy, as well as ask questions and give their views.

Worcester City Council declared a climate emergency in July 2019 and committed itself to taking action to help the city become carbon neutral by 2030.  The authority has written a draft strategy setting out options to achieve this – and now they would like local businesses and organisations, as well as local residents, to have their say and shape the plan.

To ensure your views are heard, complete Worcester City Council’s online survey. The survey will be available to complete until the end of July.

The webinars will give local businesses and organisations an opportunity to ask questions and give their views about the proposals. The webinar for local businesses and organisations will be held Tuesday 14 July at 2pm. Anyone wishing to join is asked to register to be sent the joining instructions. The webinar will be held on the Zoom platform.

A separate webinar for residents has been arranged for Wednesday 15 July at 7pm. Again, registration for this event is required to be sent the joining instructions.
