Giving Charities a Voice: Dandelion Video Production Commits to Monthly Free Videos

Worcestershire-based video production company Dandelion is giving small local charities the opportunity to have a professional video produced to help them share their stories. As part of a Chamber of Commerce pledge, they have committed to producing twelve videos throughout the next 12 months for qualified charities and non-profit organisations.

The first recipient of the charity pledge is the ELY Memorial Fund, a Herefordshire-based charity that supports families who have lost children to road traffic collisions. The charity was set up by Ange Tyler in memory of her daughter Emma Louise Young who tragically passed away in a car crash in 2010 at the age of only 23. Since then, ELY has been helping mourning families living in Herefordshire by providing a condolence gift of up to £4000 to help pay for funeral costs to those who have lost a child aged 17 to 25 years in a road traffic crash. They also support families with practical assistance such as life insurance and will writing, as well as emotional support groups.

Recently, ELY has launched the “Driving for Change” course, an interactive road safety workshop designed for 18-to-22 year olds by Minerva Elite Performance (MEP). With 130 participants, the first session was held at NMITE on 20th October, and was well received by participants and organisers alike. To promote it to a wider audience, ELY chose this program to be the subject of their charity pledge video.

“As the anniversary of our charity, and in the same month as the launch of our driving safety course, this charity pledge collaboration was meant to be,” says Angela Tyler of the ELY Memorial Fund. “The video will help us to get more organisations to run our course and improve road safety in Herefordshire.”

Dandelion’s charity pledge addresses a significant barrier most small charities face: the cost of professional video production. Video has become essential for fundraising, volunteer recruitment and awareness campaigns, but production costs often place it out of reach for organisations operating on tight budgets. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t have compelling stories to tell.

“Small charities do so much with so little resources,” says Dandelion co-founder Adam Hanslow-Smith, “We created Dandelion to tell the stories that otherwise won’t get told, and if we can use our expertise to help charities spread their important messages, that’s time well spent.”

Adam co-founded Dandelion in 2024 to support small businesses, start-ups and charities with high-quality video production services. They are based in Kidderminster, and produce marketing videos, such as case studies, event videos and motion graphics explainer videos, all over the UK.

To be eligible for a free video as part of Dandelion’s charity pledge you must simply:
– be a charity or non-profit organisation
– be a member of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce
– not typically have access to professional video production services

Demand for this offer is high, but if you are interested, please get in touch with the Chamber or contact Adam ([email protected]) to set up an initial meeting. The team at Dandelion has extensive marketing experience and can help you tell your story.

The pledge will be open throughout 2026 and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
