2Faced Dance are an artistic cultural organisation based in the centre of Hereford, of nearly 25 years’ standing. A workplace of permanent staff, a home to freelance artists, a space for 20 other community arts and dance organisations, a place to dream for 500 children and young people and a company that has mentored and trained thousands of dancers, artists and cultural leaders.
On Friday 4 November, Arts Council England (ACE) announced many drastic cuts to the arts across the country. Amongst these, it was decided that 2Faced Dance were no longer to receive regular funding.
The team have been devastated by this news. But not the sort to just sit on their laurels, they have been working tirelessly to fill the income gap via our fundraising campaign #195 Reasons Why.
We may now be unfunded, but we are fearless in our efforts to ensure the great work we do in and around Herefordshire will continue.
This February, 2Faced Dance are asking you to be fearless with them.
FEARLESS FEBRUARY challenges the business community of Herefordshire to raise a combined total of £10,000 between 1st-28th February on behalf of 2Faced Dance.
Find out on the Fearless February Flyer how you and your business can get involved. By pledging your support, you’ll be contributing to the ongoing work they do with children and young people in our community.
The campaign is already off to a great start with support pledged by well-known local businesses the Beefy Boys and Orphans Press.
Join them and be part of The Fearless.
