Family-run Worcester Business Takes Gold at British Property Awards

An independent, family-run property agents has taken the Worcester housing market by storm, winning a prestigious award for its customer service.

Hallow-based EmDot Property Agents has just been named the Gold Winner for Worcester at The British Property Awards and is now shortlisted for several national awards which will be announced later in the year.

The business was founded by mum-of-two Kate Whittal-Williams just six years ago and has gone from strength to strength in the City. She now employs a small team, including her sister and sister-in-law, making it a true family-run enterprise.

“I set EmDot up in 2017 after having IVF to have my two daughters, Emily and Dorothy,” Kate said. “I had always managed other estate agents and had been in the industry for almost 15 years.

“I didn’t want to go back to work for someone else and not be around for the girls, so I set up on my own, without any expectation. I was confident in my knowledge and experience in the job and that I was conscientious and always had personal recommendations wherever I worked.”

EmDot has steadily established itself in the local market offering a first-class service to those looking to sell or let their property.

“We want to be known as an agent who cares for each and every one of our clients and their individual needs,” Kate said. “We do everything we can to go the extra mile to help people achieve their dreams. To us, it’s not just about selling or renting out your property. There is always a story that goes with it and that’s what we love about the job.”

Judges at The British Property Awards assessed agents from across the Country on their customer service levels. They said the team at EmDot performed “outstandingly throughout the extensive judging period”.

Kate said: “We are really proud and somewhat surprised to receive the British Property Awards – Gold Winner for Worcester. It is great to be recognised for all of our efforts and pleasing to know that the caring service we strive to offer is felt. We are really looking forward to the next part of our journey.”
