Dorset House Nursing Home in Droitwich Spa hosted a Marie Curie coffee morning on 3rd March, welcoming families, friends and community members to support the Great Daffodil Appeal.
One of the UK’s leading end-of life charities, the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal helps support everyone through all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Wearing your daffodil and taking part in the Great Daffodil Appeal helps ensure that everyone gets the care and support they need towards the end of their lives.
The home’s lounge was decorated with Marie Curie bunting and vases of daffodils. A delicious display of cakes had been diligently prepared by the talented kitchen team for guests to enjoy. Residents and visitors socialised over coffee and cake, raising an impressive £233 for the charity.
Lisa Davies, Lifestyle Coordinator at Dorset House, said:
“Thank you to everyone for coming along to our Marie Curie event. We were honoured to raise funds for a cause very close to our hearts while bringing together families and residents for precious memories”.
