This has been a year like no other in the history of our NHS. As the countdown to Christmas begins, staff at the Alexandra, Kidderminster and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals are still working tirelessly to face the challenge of a second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and put patients first.
At a time when many of us are starting to hang baubles on the tree, in the wards and clinics across our hospitals, our focus has to be on keeping our patients and our staff safe from the risk of infection.
And that means that Christmas will have to look a little different this year…
Due to the strictest of infection prevention protocols our clinical wards and departments are not able to decorate as they usually would this festive season. Any Christmas decorations must be completely wipe clean and not hinder the essential cleaning requirements needed to keep our patients and staff safe.
But Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity is determined that our clinical wards and departments will not miss out on the joy and fun that this time of year should bring. We have found a local supplier who can provide Christmas trees and decorations at cost price that are completely COVID regulation friendly.
It will cost £100 to supply each ward and department with their new decorations – can your business help?
We are looking for 100 Deck The Halls Sponsors to give £100 each to decorate clinical wards across our three hospitals and help spread some much needed festive cheer this Christmas.
We will be very happy to create some great positive PR for each sponsor across our social media channels as well as through Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
If you would like to become a Deck The Wards sponsor please contact Sophie Burt, Head of Fundraising at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity on [email protected] or call 07761 329418
