Courtyard produce free activity packs for children this Christmas

This Christmas, The Courtyard are offering local families free, festive activity packs, based around its children’s Christmas show, The Snow Queen.

“We wanted to connect with the children and families in our community and give them something fun and creative to do over the Christmas holidays!” says Head of Marketing and Sales, Jessica Prosser, “The packs are full of activities and resources to engage and inspire.”

The packs include an activity booklet, full of creative challenges and a host of arts and crafts supplies guaranteed to keep children entertained over the Christmas break.

The Courtyard have been able to produce these packs thanks to funding from the Garfield Weston Foundation.

Families can collect the free packs from The Courtyard Box Office from Saturday 18 December and can use the 20 minutes free parking whilst collecting them.

The content of the activity booklets is inspired by The Courtyard’s children’s Christmas show The Snow Queen. The show is aimed at children under 7 and is the perfect alternative for those who are too young for panto.

Featuring original songs and interaction, this retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s timeless classic celebrates the things that make us different and the value of true friendship.

The Snow Queen is also available to view digitally for those who are unable to attend the show in person. The on-demand performance is available to view on The Courtyard’s website until Sunday 9 January.

The Snow Queen will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre until Friday 31 December. The digital version of The Snow Queen will be available to watch on demand until Sunday 9 January 2022. To book tickets, or for more information, contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
