Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce are delighted to announce that they have selected two charities to support as their ‘Charities of the Year’ in 2023!
We are overwhelmed by the incredible work that is carried out in our local community for so many brilliant causes. We learn first-hand the need for donations of gifts, time and money from our Charity Members. In order to fairly dedicate our time to a worthy cause over the next year, we have decided to select two Charity Partners, to whom we will dedicate a number of fundraising activities in 2023.
Amicii Dog Rescue, based in Worcestershire and Yeleni Therapy & Support, based in Herefordshire were selected by random generator and we can’t wait to start working with them!

In order to offer greater support to our Charity Members, we have decided to commence our Charity of the Year Programme for 2023.

Ann Pursey, Founder at Amicii Dog Rescue UK said “We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected as one of the H and W Chamber of Commerce charities of the year. We think this is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our work in rehoming rescue dogs and to raise the profile of our animal welfare activities within the two counties. We really are over the moon with this news!”
Amicii Dog Rescue UK rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs from the UK and mainland Europe, mainly from Spain and Romania. Their mission is to help dogs, no matter what their background or origin, provide them with a safe, warm, and loving environment to recover from trauma and bad experiences, and ultimately to find the best homes we can for them to live out their days.
Yeleni Therapy & Support offer free personalised health support to anyone living with any cancer at any stage. Their dedicated therapists support your mental, emotional and physical health as you move through your cancer journey. They will arrange an initial consultation with one of their nurse assessors in one of their warm and welcoming rooms at a time to suit you. They will talk you through your options and find out how they can best support you to live well with, and beyond cancer.
We are looking forward to meeting with the charities to discuss fundraising ideas for the upcoming months!

Chamber Charity Members can also add listings to our Charity Requests page for all businesses to see and offer their help.
