Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce has selected Managed Service Provider, EBC Group to be their new IT partner. EBC Group provided the Chamber with a new IT environment, which has enabled their team to work effectively from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, which has a team of 65 and a Membership across the region of over 1,500 organisations, were seeking a new IT provider. Their objectives included the install of a new IT infrastructure alongside fully managed services. They were looking for added security and reliability as well as future proofed systems and provide the ability to work remotely. Having completed a thorough tender process, EBC Group were chosen above a selection of other providers.
The project included installing a new onsite IT infrastructure alongside Managed IT Support, as well as new firewall, anti-virus and backup. The implementation of a new leased line connection provides superior connectivity for their head office and a brand-new VoIP telephone system will deliver a range of new functionality for the team.
Sharon Smith, Chief Executive of Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, said: “As a Patron of the Chamber of Commerce, EBC Group already know our organisation well, and they were able to combine this knowledge with their technical expertise to deliver the best solution. They took the time to understand our systems and processes and were able to recommend services that will really benefit our team and our Members.
“As it transpired updating our technology at the start of the year was very timely and helped us overcome a number of challenges, which would have prevented us from working remotely during the current lockdown.”
Richard Lane, Group Manging Director at EBC Group commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcomed on board as Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber’s new technology partner. Throughout each stage of the tender we were able to demonstrate how our services would help the Chamber meet its objectives both now and in the future.
“Having worked closely with the Chamber for a number of years, as well as already providing IT services for many of its members we’re looking forward to forging even closer ties with the business community in the region.”
