Chair’s daytime visit to Wyre Forest & South Worcestershire Nightstop & Mediation

Mike recently visited the team at the Wyre Forest and South Worcestershire Nightstop and Mediation Service based in Kidderminster.

Headed up by Judith Ford, the team provide safe, emergency, temporary accommodation and family mediation for homeless young people between the ages of 16 and 25.

Mike says: “I’m passionate about helping local business and charities and if I can do something to support this amazing team and their mission to end youth homelessness in Worcestershire, I will.”

Wyre Forest and South Worcestershire Nightstop and Mediation Service provide homeless young people with emergency accommodation in the homes of trained and approved volunteer hosts.

Not only that, they support young people (11-25) and their families by offering Time2Talk mediation to resolve conflict and prevent family breakdown AND offer an education programme to secondary schools to raise awareness of youth homelessness.

Their vision is to prevent homelessness by empowering young people to reach their full potential.

Judith explains: “We give young people the opportunity to gain accredited life skills to help them live independently. By doing this, we provide them with confidence to thrive on their own, with support if needed.”

Mike is passionate about supporting positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and would welcome a chat from Chamber members who would like to discuss this further.
