Businesses Have Chance To ‘Meet’ Sajid Javid MP At Virtual Event In Aid Of Primrose Hospice

Local businesses will have the chance to meet with Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid during a virtual event in aid of Primrose Hospice.

In Conversation With: the Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP will take place via Zoom on Thursday, June 18 from 4pm.

Primrose Hospice has organised the event to raise funds during the Coronavirus pandemic. Guests will have the opportunity to ask Mr Javid anything from local issues, the economy, business (or anything else!). After the question and answer session, there will also be an opportunity to network with other businesses via breakout rooms.

Mr Javid said: “Primrose Hospice continues to do provide fantastic care and support to residents during these challenging times. As a proud patron, I’m delighted to take part in this event.”

“I’m looking forward to speaking with local businesses and helping to raise money for a great cause.”

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Primrose Hospice which has continued to provide care and support to patients and bereaved adults and children during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Primrose Hospice has seen an increase in demand for its services, particularly its family support and bereavement counselling, since the beginning of the pandemic.

At the same time, it has seen fundraising events cancelled or postponed and has had to temporarily close its charity shops and pause traditional methods of raising money such as supermarket bucket collections.

Sally Insley, fundraising manager at Primrose Hospice, said: “This is a rare opportunity for businesses to put forward their burning questions.

“Mr Javid has always been a fantastic guest speaker at our business lunches so I am sure the virtual event will be a really interesting experience.

“We would like to thank our patron Mr Javid for offering his time to fundraise for Primrose Hospice and would urge you to book a place quickly to avoid disappointment.

“This will be one Zoom meeting you will not want to miss.”

People are asked to make a donation of their choice to Primrose Hospice in return for booking their place.
