Businesses gather at Three Counties Showground for Chamber’s Spring Business Expo

Businesses from across the two counties gathered at the Three Counties Showground for the Chamber’s Spring Business Expo, in association with Hewett Recruitment, with many commenting on the lively atmosphere in the main exhibition hall.

The day began with its Networking Breakfast, where guests enjoyed a delicious morning banquet before hearing from guest speaker Nic Millington, CEO of Rural Media, Keith Beech, Head of Communications at One Worcestershire, Ben Mannion, Director at Hewett Recruitment and Sharon Smith, Chief Executive at the Chamber.

Of the Expo, Sharon commented: “I was pleased to welcome so many new and returning faces to our spring business exhibition. Our Expos are two of the busiest events in our networking calendar, and it’s fantastic to see local companies supporting each other, especially in such a time of uncertainty.”

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to welcome so many new businesses to exhibit on the day and hopes that guests also took advantage of the tasty Food and Drink Producers’ Zone, sponsored by mfg Solicitors, and enjoyed networking with other business professionals in the dedicated Networking Zone, sponsored by Haines Watts.

To help raise money for St.Richard’s Hospice’s 2020 Corporate Challenge sponsored by the Chamber, there was a bake sale showcasing the Chambers best bakers giving the Expo attendees the chance to buy a cake or biscuit in support of the charity.

Speaking at the event from overall sponsors Hewett Recruitment, Verity Hudson, Marketing Executive, said: “The Expo is a brilliant opportunity to showcase our knowledge, expertise and services to the local business area.”

Emily Batemen, Employment Specialist at Landau, said: ““The Chamber Team were accommodating from start to finish. Would highly recommend attending future expo’s and we look forward to future events.”

Following the Business Expo, the government announced their guidance for increased social distancing and therefore all Chamber events, training courses and face-to-face meetings have been postponed. The Chamber are here to support all businesses, Member or Non-member during these uncertain times and will do whatever necessary to help guide businesses through this worrying period.  For further updates and important contact information please visit: www.hwchamber.co.uk/support/advice/coronavirus-information/.
