Bromsgrove law firm raises over £1,600 for local charity

Bromsgrove law firm mfg Solicitors has donated a total of £1,605.50 for local support charity the Rose & Daisy Foundation.

Staff at the High Street firm raised £605.50 over the past year through a number of activities and events, including completing 10,318 minutes of activity in their ‘Road To The Commonwealth’ challenge – a minute for every mile between former host cities of the games Australia and Birmingham. In addition to the £605.50, the Trustees of the mfg Charitable Foundation also donated a further £1,000.

The Bromsgrove team, who selected the Rose & Daisy Foundation as their chosen charity for 2024/25, also held raffles, quiz events, cake sales, an Easter Egg decorating competition, and a silent auction, whilst also braving the St Basils Big Birmingham Sleep Out last winter.

The Rose & Daisy Foundation supports families with children in intensive care and those who have experienced neonatal loss, stillbirth, or miscarriage. The charity was founded by Jamie and Hannah Peters in memory of their two daughters, Rose and Daisy.

Katie Stubbs, a paralegal at mfg Solicitors in Bromsgrove said: “Our team here in Bromsgrove had a brilliant year of fundraising and taking part in a variety of activities. The Rose & Daisy Foundation is a charity which touched all our hearts and the work they do to support families in need is amazing. This includes initiatives like their Wellbeing Box which helps aid families in grief and gives a feeling of normality.

“The donation will be put to good use and importantly, help give more support to those who need it most. We’re delighted to have been involved and play our part.”

Co-founder and Trustee, Jamie Rose from Rose & Daisy Foundation said: “It was extremely humbling when mfg Solicitors chose us for their office charity. Since then, Katie and the team have kept us updated on the huge range of fantastic events staff have been holding throughout the year.

“To be presented with a cheque for over £1,600 really is amazing and I can’t thank Katie and everyone at mfg enough for their passion and support. Like all charities, we rely on donations so the funding from them will help us to continue supporting more people in and around Bromsgrove.”
