Brockencote Hall Hotel partnering with Chapel Down for floral-inspired tasting evening

A historic countryside hotel in Worcestershire is partnering with England’s leading wine maker to host an exclusive floral-inspired tasting evening celebrating the scents, sights and flavours of summer.

Brockencote Hall Hotel, a luxury Victorian manor in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside, will host Brockencote in Bloom on Friday, August 29 – pairing a seven-course tasting menu with a curated English wine flight from leading UK wine producer Chapel Down.

Each dish on the menu, which has been devised by Head Chef Tim Jenkins, will take inspiration from the colours, textures and aromas of British summer gardens, featuring locally sourced produce and ingredients grown on site at the Eden Hotel Collection venue – which was named AA Small Hotel Group of the Year 2025.

Wine pairings will be carefully matched to elevate the flavours and offer guests a deeper insight into the vibrant English wine scene – with Chapel Down serving wines available only at its partner venues.

Dan Brennan, General Manager at Brockencote Hall Hotel, said: “Brockencote in Bloom will be a real celebration of British seasonality and craftsmanship.

“From the creativity of our chefs to the exceptional quality of Chapel Down wines, this event reflects everything we love about English food and drink.

“The menu is full of beautiful floral notes and the setting in our country manor makes it the perfect summer evening.”

Thomas Overgaard-Brown at Chapel Down, said: “This collaboration with Brockencote Hall is the perfect showcase for our English wines as we look to share our creations with new audiences in the Midlands.

“Guests can expect some standout pairings on the night with wines from select locations, and we’ll have an ambassador on site for the evening to help guide guests through the selections.”

Brockencote in Bloom is part of the hotel’s wider summer programme, which also includes a new Inspirational Lunch event on Thursday, August 28.

The Dig in: Garden Talk and Lunch event will explore the fascinating history and modern-day preservation of the gardens at nearby Harvington Hall, an Elizabethan Grade 1-listed moated manor house, with a two-course lunch included.

Set in 70 acres of peaceful countryside, Brockencote Hall Hotel offers 24 individually designed bedrooms, fine dining, and charming views of the Malvern Hills.
