Blue Plaque unveiling on riverside marks the first site of Worcester porcelain production

The Museum of Royal Worcester and Worcester Civic Society are delighted to announce the unveiling of an official Blue Plaque to recognise and mark the location of the Warmstry House factory. This was the first site of porcelain production in Worcester, founded in 1751, by Dr Wall and partners. The unveiling will take place at 11am, this Saturday 9 July, by BBC Antiques Roadshow expert and Museum trustee, John Sandon, accompanied by Museum Patron, Henry Sandon MBE. The Blue Plaque will be located on the riverside by Copenhagen Street car park and Heart of Worcestershire College.

Guests attending the unveiling are invited back to the Museum afterwards for tea and coffee, served on Royal Worcester china. If you would like to attend the unveiling, please RSVP to the Museum by 7 July [email protected] or 01905 21247.
