Affordable County Holiday Homes

Simple, silent, space …… Discover Parks Herefordshire.

With summertime clearly on the horizon and with it a heady sense of freedom, we come to terms with a new way of holidaying that involves more room and less travel. If you’re looking to experience the very best Britain can offer and yearn to have your own affordable holiday home then why not journey to the very Western edge of the Midlands and check out ‘Discover Parks’.

Set amidst stunning scenery that boasts a true sense of space and freedom, their luxury lodges and holiday caravans are situated in the perfect place to get away from it all and experience simplistic paradise. The award-winning trio of five star destinations is the stuff of a by gone era that introduces a welcome state of calm to everyone that journeys within. They are at the top of their game in terms of standards and facilities, sharing ancient woodlands, meandering rivers and even a glacial lake. Pearl Lake Leisure Park, based on the outskirts of Shobdon village and Arrowbank Country Park in the picturesque black & white village of Eardisland are both in North Herefordshire and a ten minute drive apart.

Sue and Pete Gallagan from Rugby normally holiday abroad twice a year but last summer, following covid restrictions, they were driven to make a move they’d been considering for some time. They bought a holiday home with Discover Parks within literally a few hours of having a tour around the hundred acres at Pearl Lake.

“We collected our keys the following weekend and have no regrets whatsoever. Pearl Lake is definitely a hidden gem, from the moment you drive in the entrance you feel happy and relaxed. It’s a very select site with beautiful scenery and maintained to a high standard so we would definitely give it 10 out of 10.”

With golf, fishing, bowls and a lakeside bistro to enjoy the Gallagans feel they’ve landed the jackpot.

“The lake itself is just amazing, we love walking around there with our dog Duggie. The park is extremely dog friendly with a superb dog wash and huge exercise field so they can run free off the lead. The children’s play areas look brilliant too and we look forward to our grandkids being able to visit and have fun there on the go karts and zip wires. Discover Parks are by far the best parks we have visited. We have space, tranquility and everything we could wish for in terms of an affordable UK holiday destination.”
