Worcestershire Parkway finally set to open

Sunday 23 February will be the official opening date for the county’s first new station in 100 years.

The brand-new station is equipped with 3 platforms and a 500-space car park which will help to remove traffic from the county’s main roads and motorways.

Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), said: “It is great news to have the opening of Worcestershire Parkway. With its opening, Parkway is set to bring a positive boost to the local economy, providing local commuters with improved access and journey times to and from the national grid connecting to services from London, Oxford, Cardiff and Birmingham.”

The brand new station will allow Worcestershire to be seen as an attractive destination to invest, whilst also providing commuters access to areas that were previously too hard to reach and will attract more skilled workers to the regions businesses.
