Chamber set to launch Business Manifesto 2020

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce would like to invite local businesses to its annual Business Manifesto 2020 Launch. To be held at Yamazaki Mazak UK Limited, Badgeworth Drive, Worcester WR3 9NF on Friday 20 March 7.30-9.30am, the presentation will be open to Members and Non-members. The report will detail the Chamber’s key business priorities, that have been identified by businesses across the two counties, for local and national government throughout the year. The data has been gathered by consulting with over 4000 leading businesses across the region.

The event will be a chance for you to see exactly what opportunities and challenges your business might face during 2020 and discuss how they can be tackled. The areas covered within the 2020 Business Manifesto include but are not limited to: People & Skills, Physical & Digital Infrastructure, International Trade and the role of business in a Sustainable Economy. The Manifesto highlights the issues identified to raise awareness at Westminster to work towards solutions, to ensure that Herefordshire and Worcestershire remain a great place to do business.

This year’s event will welcome guest speaker, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, Adam Marshall, who will be providing a local and national perspective on the business environment.

Last year, the event saw over 130 businesses attend so you are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.

Commenting on the launch, Sharon Smith, CEO at the Chamber, said: “It is always fantastic to see so many business leaders come out to support our priorities for the coming year.

“As the business hub for the two counties, I’m looking forward to seeing the Chamber continue to work collaboratively with the business community to influence government on the key priorities outlined in our manifesto.”
