Crowe conference delivering insight into challenges facing Academy Trusts

National audit, tax, advisory and risk firm, Crowe, is to hold its 2019 Academies conference at Sixways Stadium, Worcester, on Friday 14 June.

The event will not only bring those working in Academies fully up to speed with financial and governance developments within academies, but it is also an invaluable opportunity to network and share best practice with peers in the sector.

Dave Darlaston, Audit Partner at Crowe, said: “The event will be of great interest to Trustees, accounting officers, finance directors and business managers of academy Trusts.

“Specialists from Crowe will deliver three thought provoking sessions, with national law firm Stone King and Lloyds Bank taking the stage to discuss current legal and banking considerations, including fraud.”

Helen Drew, Audit Partner at Crowe, added: “We will be giving an in-depth view of risk management, common failures and the accounting officer role.”

The event will also include an insight from David Brown Interim Chief Executive at Shrewsbury Academies Trust into how they have worked with the ESFA with the aim of turning round a Trust with financial challenges.

Crowe’s 2019 Academies Conference begins with registration and breakfast at 8:30 and concludes at 13:30. For further details, please contact Elodie Dao on [email protected] or register here.

This event is for Finance managers, Business managers, Head teachers and Trustees of Academy Trusts or schools looking to convert.
