Hereford specialist appointed to the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) Sustainable Furniture Solutions framework, giving universities and colleges across four regions a compliant route to specialist ergonomic furniture.
Wyvern Business Systems are delighted to have been selected to supply specialist ergonomic furniture and associated services to universities, colleges and public sector organisations through the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) Sustainable Furniture Solutions framework (reference FFE2010 NE). The Hereford company has been appointed to Lot 12, covering East Anglia, London, the South East and the South West.
The framework gives member institutions a compliant, pre-tendered route to source ergonomic furniture, removing the need to run a full tender of their own. NEUPC, the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium, is a Higher Education purchasing consortium and a member of UK Universities Purchasing Consortia, so its frameworks are accessible to partner consortia across the sector, which include:
- Advanced Procurement for Universities & Colleges (APUC)
- Higher Education Purchasing Consortium, Wales (HEPCW)
- London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC)
- North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC)
- North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC)
- Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC)
- TEC (Energy & Education connected)
- The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO)
Sophie Stubbs, Director at Wyvern Business Systems, said: ‘Selection for this framework is a significant milestone for Wyvern Business Systems and strong, independent validation of our ergonomic offering. We look forward to helping universities, colleges and public sector organisations create healthier, more compliant workplaces through a route that is straightforward and fully compliant.’
Wyvern Business Systems is recommended by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, and specialises in matching ergonomic furniture and equipment to the needs of the individual rather than applying a one-size approach. That expertise supports both employee health and an employer’s duties under UK display screen equipment and equality legislation.
The appointment reflects the company’s growing focus on the education and public sector, where sustained screen use and a clear duty of care to staff and students make ergonomic specification an increasing priority.
