Talbots Law triples Contentious Probate team in 12 months, strengthening its regional and national presence.

Talbots Law has significantly expanded its Contentious Probate offering after tripling the size of the specialist team in just 12 months, reinforcing its position as one of the leading contentious probate specialists in the region.

Now comprising a nine-strong team led by Jagdip Bains, Talbots’ Contentious Probate specialists support clients across the firm’s entire office network, delivering expert advice on a wide range of complex inheritance, trust and estate disputes.

The latest phase of growth includes the appointment of two highly experienced senior solicitors, Annam Nasir and Sarah Bolt, whose arrivals further strengthen the firm’s capabilities in high-value, complex Will related disputes.

This timely expansion follows the Contentious Probate team being identified as a ‘Firm to Watch’ in the latest Legal 500 rankings, after being recognised for its significant growth trajectory and involvement in high-profile matters.

The firm has expanded substantially in recent years through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions, now spanning 19 offices and more than 600 employees across the Midlands and surrounding counties.

Annam Nasir joins Talbots Law as a Director & Solicitor within the Contentious Probate team, based in the firm’s Stourbridge office. Recognised in the Legal 500 rankings and a full member of both the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), and the Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA), Annam has more than 12 years’ experience advising on inheritance and trust disputes, including complex, high-value and cross-border estate matters.

Her recent work includes advising on a high-profile High Court case involving the effect of deathbed gifts in an estate dispute valued at approximately £3 million.

Sarah Bolt also joins as a Director & Solicitor within the Contentious Probate team, based in Worcester. Sarah is proudly adorned with multiple accreditations including Associate Member of STEP and full member ACTAPS, ConTrA as well as Court of Protection Practitioners Association (CoPPA). Sarah brings more than 15 years’ specialist experience in private wealth disputes and Court of Protection litigation, having previously held senior roles at number of well-recognised national law firms.

Sarah advises on the full spectrum of contentious wills, trusts, estates and mental capacity disputes, with particular expertise in matters involving vulnerable individuals, financial abuse and complex trust litigation.
