KEMP Hospice was honoured by a visit from the High Sheriff of Worcestershire, Charles Moyle JP, and the Mayor of Kidderminster, Councillor George Connolly. They visited the Hospice on Thursday 6th February 2025 to meet with dedicated staff and see firsthand some of the vital services they provide.
During their visit, the High Sheriff of Worcestershire and the Mayor of Kidderminster took time to engage with patients, staff and volunteers. They also took part in a Neuro Exercise class lead by KEMP Hospice Exercise Well-being Practitioner Kim Bayliss, gaining a deeper understanding of the compassionate care and support that KEMP Hospice provides.
“We were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Worcestershire and the Mayor of Kidderminster to KEMP Hospice,” said Caroline Beech, Chief Executive at KEMP Hospice. “Their visit was an opportunity for us to showcase the importance of the work we do, and the positive impact it has on the lives of those we support in the Wyre Forest community.”
During their visit they also spent time with KEMP’s Family Support & Bereavement Services Team, learning about the counselling services they provide to adults and young people as well as the emotional support to children from the age of 5.
Mayor of Kidderminster Councillor George Connolly said of the visit “It was great to be able to take some time to visit KEMP Hospice and to learn more about the critical services they provide. The continued commitment of the whole team at KEMP Hospice to improving the lives of individuals and families in our community is truly inspiring.”
