Dancing for a Cause: SJL Ball Raises Vital Funds for Acorns

The annual SJL Foundation Charity Ball, held at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford,  Worcester, was a resounding success, raising an incredible £32,107 on the night. The event brought together over 170 guests from SJL Insurance’s extensive network of staff, clients, and partners to support Acorns Children’s Hospice, a vital charity providing care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Simon Lancaster, founder of SJL Insurance and the SJL Foundation, expressed his gratitude to attendees, saying:

“I started SJL Insurance 23 years ago, then launched the SJL foundation 5 years ago to tap into our amazing network to pay it forward. This ball is a testament to what can be achieved when our community comes together for a common cause and we are grateful of everyone’s support.”

Simon continued: “Times are tough but everyone has come together to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice.  Acorns is a phenomenal local charity, and it’s an honour to support the incredible work they do.”

The SJL Foundation, a registered charity, not only raises funds for its key partner Acorns Children’s Hospice but also supports budding entrepreneurs through business start-up grants and mentoring programmes.

The annual black-tie ball is the Foundation’s flagship fundraising event and highlights the Foundation’s mission to rally staff, clients, and the community in support of causes that resonate deeply with their values.

The funds raised will enable Acorns Children’s Hospice to continue delivering their essential services, helping families during their most challenging times.
