Worcester City Women FC has today announced the launch of its new badge and brand identity. As one of the few female-owned, independent football clubs in England dedicated to women and girls, Worcester City Women FC has built a unique identity focused on being a community-centred women’s club.
Since its establishment as an independent club in 2021, Worcester City Women FC has had strong ambitions to put Worcester on the map for women’s football. To underscore the ethos and direction, the club has launched a new badge ahead of the 2024/2025 season.
Club Badge
The badge reflects the modern, forward-thinking approach, while honouring Worcester’s proud heritage, featuring the cathedral in its design. The sunbeams behind the cathedral symbolise the club’s core values: RISE – Respect, Inspiring, Successful, Exceptional, highlighting the positive nature of the organisation.
The new branding and badge have been enthusiastically received by fans, the wider community, and the people of Worcester.
Speaking on the new direction, Club Owner and CEO Nicole Allison said: “Our new badge and brand are more than just symbols; they represent our commitment to our players, our fans, and our community. We are excited to embark on this new journey and continue to grow as a club.”
Rising Through the Ranks in the Heart of Worcester
Having been promoted last season, Worcester City Women FC will compete in the FA Women’s National League D1 Midlands. Located in the heart of Worcester, a city known for its vibrant independent businesses and growth opportunities, the games are played at the renowned Sixways Stadium, a testament to the club’s strong ties with local partners and supporters.
Looking Ahead
The club is committed to its vision of becoming one of the UK’s leading women’s football clubs and providing a platform for young talent to shine.
The people of Worcestershire are invited to celebrate this exciting new chapter and fans can follow the club on social media and stay tuned for upcoming events, matches, and more.
