Cleantech Bootcamp and Workshops in North Worcestershire

BetaDen North, enabled by Wyre Forest District Council and Worcestershire County Council is a project funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund that is designed to support businesses in the push to the UK’s NetZero targets.

The have recently announced the new Cleantech Bootcamp and Workshops in North Worcestershire. Launching in February 2022, a series of four challenge workshops at Wyre Forest House will see industry leaders share their knowledge, insight and examples of best practice in developing innovative, low-carbon solutions with businesses of all sizes.

The Bootcamp is aimed at the innovators and is for Wyre Forest businesses only. Situated at Wyre Forest District Council offices in Kidderminster for two days a week, the BetaDen North Bootcamp will offer entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale up businesses a package worth over £25,000.  Applications will open soon for the Cleantech Bootcamp, where eight participants will be selected to take part in a 60-day programme, receiving specialist cleantech support. The programme culminates in a pitch and showcase event, demonstrating innovations born in Wyre Forest to potential customers, partners and investors.

The workshops are for any business in Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport, Bromsgrove and Redditch and are as follows:

24 February – Bringing Net Zero to the heart of your business strategy – Targeted at Established businesses in the locality, mid-size to large corporates, range of sectors.

2 March – Decarbonising in response to new industry supply chain drivers – Targeted at be automotive sector and wider manufacturing, retailers. Companies that are at the top of the supply chain influencing the supply chain below taking on this agenda.

10 March – Extend your digital transformation for major sustainability gains – Sector focus is manufacturing and transport, less important but construction also may be good one to target.

16 March – Beyond R&D: How can my business innovate to support decarbonisation? A Meet the Buyer and good to target businesses in construction and buildings.
