For many businesses, the past 12 months have presented a variety of different challenges to navigate. Lockdowns, rising energy costs and disruption to supply chains have for some proved difficult to handle.
A return to normal during the second half of 2021 has seen many businesses able to vitally regain lost confidence and begin to look towards the future. The determination and resilience shown by local businesses over the past year is to be celebrated.
As we move into the new year however businesses are yet again faced with uncertainty. With the emergence of new Coronavirus variants threatening to impose further restrictions upon companies and a return to working from home, business confidence is once again taking a hit.
We will continue to support businesses across Herefordshire and Worcestershire by providing advice and guidance and will be here to listen to any concerns or feedback you may have during this period.
The Chamber will also be calling for further support from government and a full plan for 2022 to allow businesses to have a clear support structure in place.
Finally, I would like to say a huge congratulations to all Herefordshire and Worcestershire business for your hard work and determination over the past 12 months, wishing you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
