Director of Comms & Campaign Sara Lyddy joins DRPG board

Creative communications group DRPG adds Sara Lyddy to its board of directors.

Joining the group as a senior account manager in June 2014, Sara helped manage the Lloyds Banking Group account where she focussed predominantly on live event delivery and the growth of the account. Sara’s comms experience came to the forefront as DRPG began to expand its offering, establishing DRPG’s Comms division in 2016 under the late Julie Davidson.

Starting out as a bolt-on serving the live events and video offerings for which DRPG was predominantly known, Sara has since expanded the stand-alone Communications team to deliver impressive solutions for their own portfolio of clients. This dynamic team specialise in strategic comms and insight, delivering everything from consultancy through to exciting, longer-term campaigns.

Sara now heads up a 30-strong department of expert account managers, copywriters and proof-readers, campaign consultants and digital marketers, as well as the Research, Insights and Strategy team.

On her role as director of comms and campaign, Sara commented “Businesses have been awakened with a jolt to the importance of strategic and authentic comms over the course of the pandemic. This is a service area I only see growing within DRPG.

“Our strongest asset is the team’s universal skillset and incredible flexibility to integrate and support any of DRPG’s channels. For example, our dedicated Research, Insights and Strategy team can underpin a live event to determine the return on engagement. In the same way, our digital marketers can work directly with our Video team on content creation, providing strategic promotional direction. We offer an incredibly varied skillset that transforms any comms solution into something more – intelligent creative that is guaranteed to make an impact.

“I’m super excited for what the future of our industry will bring and how it will continue to shape our team. I love a good challenge, and DRPG continues to be the place to bring me this. There aren’t many places I can do what I love in an office with neon flying ducks, a constant stream of cake and a dog next to my desk!”
