Iota Light, who are a Worcester based LED manufacturing company recently completed a full-plant growth project with the University of Manchester. By promoting both a reduction on energy and increased yields, it truly is a greener path for a reduced carbon footprint. The horticultural UK Upsilon LED luminaire is designed to meet commercial standards and produce the full spectrum of light needed for a wide range of plant growth.
University of Manchester Faculty of Life Sciences established a goal to upgrade from traditional plant growth lights to new units based on innovation. The scope of the project was their entire lighting system over 140 units across the site with a 68% energy reduction.
