Staff at local care home among first to receive vaccine

Staff at Barchester’s Latimer care home in Worcester were delighted to be among the first invited to have the Covid-19 vaccination at the Alexander Hospital, Redditch, which has lifted everyone’s spirits after what has been a very challenging year for everyone.

General Manager, Kerry Hill said:

“Last year was a year like no other and the vaccine feels like the light at the end of the tunnel. Our teams have been magnificent in how they have risen to every challenge during this pandemic and we are proud to play our part in this next phase to ensure the most vulnerable are protected.”

Mandy Sherwood, staff member at Latimer Court, said:

“I am so pleased to be given the vaccine. It will help to keep our residents safe, and is the first step in getting things back to normal and having a buzz of visitors in the home once again.”

The team are welcoming new residents into the homes to ensure that they are there for those that need care and support, and have very clear protocols that must be met including a transition period into homes to help keep everyone safe. Please do give them a call if you are looking for care or need any further help. For more information please contact Kerry Hill, General Manager at Latimer Court on 01905 363270 or [email protected]
