Hereford’s Rural Media is National Finalist for The Rural Business Awards 2020/21

Rural Media has been shortlisted for Best Rural Creative or Artisan Business in the national Rural Business Awards 2020/21. Partnered by Amazon, the Awards give recognition to businesses operating across the Rural sector, acknowledging the breadth of opportunity presented by the Great British countryside. Nominated for their film production work, Hereford’s Rural Media team are hoping to clinch the title and celebrate the rural businesses they’ve championed over the past five years.

Having produced content for Herefordshire businesses such as E.C. Drummond, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and Sunshine Radio, alongside national clients such as BBC Arts, Channel 4, Kings College London and Women’s Aid, this is a fantastic opportunity to draw attention to the diverse business enterprise opportunities Herefordshire offers on a national scale.

The RBAs are particularly interested in businesses that were able to adapt and overcome adversity in light of the global pandemic. With Rural Media introducing COVID-19 filming practices and working guidelines in the Summer, the charity and its trading arm, Rural Media Productions has been able to continue production throughout 2020, even upping its client list to help more businesses and charities reach their customers via innovative storytelling and stunning visuals.
Rural Media’s Creative Director and Deputy CEO, Grant Black said:

“We’re extremely grateful to receive this recognition from Amazon and the Rural Business Awards. Our team have worked tirelessly to adapt to the extraordinary events of the year. We’re delighted with the way we’ve adapted and are proud of the work we’ve created, and hope to continue to go from strength to strength.”

Director and Co-Founder of The Rural Business Awards, Jemma Clifford, said:
“This year has been an unprecedented challenge for businesses across the country but we have still had a fantastic amount of entries, showing the true determination of people working in the rural economy. Here at the Rural Business Awards we remain committed to our vision of showcasing the fantastic work of rural businesses and believe that it has never been more important than now.”

Clifford continued:
“On behalf of the RBA team, we want to say congratulations to Rural Media, and
wish them luck ahead of the national final.”
