New challenges are ahead for one former apprentice from Herefordshire who has shone in the field of business administration.
Liam Griffiths from Presteigne has successfully carried out a 3 year apprenticeship at the award winning Discover Parks in North Herefordshire, where he’s demonstrated a wide range of knowledge and skills under the guidance of Riverside Training. Liam initially joined the company on a traineeship scheme which gave him the opportunity to see if working within the holiday home and park industry suited him. It also satisfied Discover Parks that he was a suitable candidate for apprenticeship investment and his first year proved a complete success going on to gain a Level 2 in Business Administration.
Jane Peston, Founder & Sales Director from Riverside Training says Liam showed initiative from the start:
“Prioritising tasks and effective time management, along with developing decision making and problem-solving skills are all vital in business administration and he showed competence in all of them.”
Glenn Jones, MD of Discover Parks agreed that Liam has thrived in his role:
“He’s developed within the company showing excellent skills across the board. We have recently appointed him as the Senior Maintenance Co-Ordinator for our three parks which has proved that his business administration qualification is highly transferable.”
Liam is the first to admit he wasn’t too sure about being an apprentice when he first left school but now with a great future ahead of him he highly recommends the apprenticeship road. He said:
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my three years of ‘on the job’ training and really appreciate the help and support I’ve had from both RiversideTraining and Discover Parks. I’m now ready to move forward in my new role thanks to the transferable skills I’ve gained.”
